More than ten Cool and Interesting Fun Facts About Bobby Charlton. Sir Robert Charlton was born on 11th October 1937. He, popularly known as Bobby, is a professional English footballer played as a midfielder.
On the club level, he mostly played from Manchester United as an attacking midfielder and was famous for his attacking techniques, fitness and stamina. He was lucky survivor of Munich airplane crash which took the lives of many players of Manchester United. Later, he captained the great club and won European Cup. A very eyebrow raising fact about him is that, he luckily survived in the Munich air disaster. A plane carrying Manchester United’s player faced a crash due to bad weather. Out of 44 passengers on board, 23 people died including 8 Manchester United’s players. - Charlton faced stealing charges
A very unpleasant fact about him is that, he and Bobby Moore were accused of stealing a bracelet from a jewellery store. The incident happened after 1970 World Cup. Moore was arrested and detained by investigating authorities while Charlton was not arrested.

A personal fact about him is that, he is married to Norma Ball. The couple have two daughters, Suzanne and Andrea. On his mother side, he is related to several professional footballers including, Jack Milburn who played from Leeds and Bradford City, George Milburn who represented Leeds United and Chesterfield, Jim Milburn of Leeds United and Bradford City, Stan Milburn who represented Chesterfield, Leicester City and Rochdale and Jackie Milburn a legendary footballer who played from Newcastle United. They all were his cousins from mother’s side.
